Introduction to Erklihe Middle School

● School overview
Earlscliffe, a private international boarding school founded in 2012, welcomes students aged 15 to 19. With approximately 140 students from over thirty countries, the school is situated in the town of Folkestone on the English Channel coast, with Dover being the nearest major urban center.
The school is in a very good location, in the residential area of the town, with a beautiful environment, 10 minutes 'walk from the railway station and about 20 minutes' walk from the sea. It takes less than an hour by train to London.
02
Campus life
Earlcliffe offers a personalized education that is unique among its peers. It is a unique experience that draws on the traditions and methods of Oxford and Cambridge colleges, top public schools, Ivy League schools, and government-led institutions.
Earlscliffe School's A-level graduates have achieved excellent results in 2024, with many students going on to study at some of the UK's top Russell Group schools.

● Course offered
Earlcliffe offers two years of A-Level courses, an International Transition Year (one year for international students), a Foundation (one year for university preparation) and a Diploma in Business and Management (equivalent to two A-Level results).
The school implements small-class teaching (with an average of 7 students per class) and has developed its own test tracking system (TRaC), which monitors each student's progress through weekly assessments. During the A-Level stage, students are offered over 20 different subject options, and all A-Level candidates participate in the EPQ program.

● Accommodation and living
The school provides six modern boarding houses, with separate accommodations for boys and girls, all located near the main building and within walking distance. Most rooms are spacious single rooms with private bathrooms; each student has their own wardrobe and desk, and all rooms are equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity.
The classrooms and laboratories have also been refurbished, providing students and staff with a fresh, bright and intimate environment in which to carry out their daily work.

● Outdoor education
Schools encourage students to participate in physical activities and believe that the core values—— of good sportsmanship-determination to succeed, teamwork, leadership and—— are important for all aspects of school life and academic achievement.
As a result, the school offers regular opportunities for sport: football training and weekly league matches, basketball, badminton, horseback riding, tennis, golf, gym and swimming.

● Extracurricular activities
Earlcliffe demands a spirit of inquiry and the school is committed to providing opportunities for students to develop in areas beyond the A-Level curriculum.
The school also hosts weekly gatherings for various student organizations, including the Science Association, History Society, Political and Social Studies Club, Economics and Business Association, Creative Arts Club, Geography Society, Law Association, Debate Club, Public Speaking Society, Global Affairs Club, UNESCO Committee, Student Union, Italian Club, Creative Writing Club, Thesis Skills Club, Chess Club, and French Club.
