Kick off the show
On Saturday, August 19,2023 at 13:30 PM, Langsheng Education "Chasing the Light and Meeting the Dream" graduation season outstanding students sharing session in Shanghai Sinan Salon opened grandly!
At the event kickoff, we were honored to have two distinguished guests: Isabel, a Stanford University graduate and current double major in Political Science and East Asian Studies, along with Felix and Bonnie – alumni of Tonbridge School (a prestigious British private boys 'school) and St. Catherine's School (a top-tier British girls' school). Drawing from their unique international education journeys, they shared valuable insights with younger students about navigating overseas academic life.
Although some of the guests could not come to the scene abroad, they recorded a video for everyone with their care. Their sincere sharing also made a perfect opening for the event and laid the foundation for the whole event to be wonderful and full of surprises.

Making a speech
In the first part of the event, Mr. Ping, founder and chairman of Langsheng Education, delivered a speech to the event, sharing with everyone the journey of the team of Langsheng Education over the past ten years of deep involvement in international education.
Since its official establishment in 2010, Langsheng Education has been dedicated to providing high-end and professional overseas study services for Chinese students. As early as 2005, we became the sole China representative office of Concord College, a top private boarding school in the UK. Now, we have become the official representative for many leading British private schools. We remain committed to our original mission, striving to help every student navigate through challenges and set sail on their journey of study and growth!
Live sharing
During the on-site sharing session of outstanding students, representatives of outstanding A-level&GCSE graduates from Langsheng Education and top students from the world's top universities all showed their "special skills" and shared their learning and growth experiences with everyone.
In the first half of this article, we invited students from some top British and American middle schools to sincerely share their experiences and gains from studying abroad at a young age. Let's take a look back:
Alex, who was admitted to Concord Academy, a top American high school, with excellent grades

As a young student who went to the United States to study since junior high school, Alex has a deep understanding of the American education system. Although he is the youngest guest in the audience, his unique study abroad and college experience left a deep impression on the audience.
The quirky fairy girl Cecilia

Despite her young age, Cecilia has already spent three years studying at a top British boarding school. Beyond her academic excellence, she is a well-rounded student with diverse interests and actively participates in various extracurricular activities. At the event, she shared her insights and experiences from studying abroad in a lively and sincere manner, showcasing her unique personality. She also encouraged everyone to actively explore new hobbies and enrich their overseas study experience from the perspective of 'anti-competition'.
In the end of her sharing, Cecilia also gave the most sincere advice to all young international students ——to love themselves well. Only in this way can they better feel the beauty of studying abroad and become a better version of themselves.
Thomas Ye, a young boy who loves academic and endless exploration

Thomas, a science-obsessed student, is a true academic powerhouse. His composed and reserved demeanor allows him to immerse himself in scholarly pursuits. Drawing from his experience at a top British private school, he shared insights into academic competitions with the audience. His impressive collection of competition medals left the parents in awe!
I believe that students who love academic and challenging as much as him must have gained a lot from his sharing.
The second half of the event featured an inspiring session dedicated to top students from the UK, US, and Canada! Participants included graduates who had just earned their degrees this year, along with current university seniors. They enthusiastically shared their study and application experiences. Let's dive into this knowledge-packed segment:
She said she was not afraid of the most challenging IB courses——Olina

Olina, a graduate of Shanghai YK Pao School this year, chose the internationally recognized most difficult and comprehensive IB curriculum among the three international curriculum systems because she likes challenges. She scored 41 points and was successfully admitted to the University of Toronto, the first university in Canada!
She shared her exclusive experience of studying the IB program at an international school, encouraging younger students not to be discouraged even if their grades are poor at the beginning. As long as they work hard, there will be rewards. Some students and parents who were interested in the American and Canadian directions were deeply immersed in her speech.
Penelope, a talented woman who was admitted to Cambridge University's history department with an A*

Penelope, who shared her GCSE results with us two years ago, has now been admitted to the prestigious History department at Cambridge University, which is regarded as the "holy grail" for liberal arts students.
How could such a talented woman in literature have a dream of science? She has her own unique insights on how to improve her liberal arts grades, and she also shared her book list on the spot. Her experience has also injected a shot of adrenaline into families who aspire to liberal arts and plan to study in the UK.
Peggy, who was admitted to Oxford University with full A* grades in mathematics and statistics

Peggy, also a graduate of Concord College, UK this year, is a science major with a strong personality, especially in mathematics. She also shared her learning experience and newly published application experience at Concord College, UK without reservation.
Her informative sharing left the audience wanting more, and her spirit of exploration and courage to challenge also infected many students on the scene.
Thomas, a science major at Oxford University majoring in mathematics and computer science

As is widely known, mathematics and computer science are flagship disciplines in most UK and US universities. Thomas, an outstanding student who excels in both fields with remarkable proficiency, shared his "secrets" for efficient learning and application preparation at the event. He also guided attendees through the campus life of Oxford University – a place that has captivated countless students – while expressing his hope to meet younger students on Oxford's campuses!
Aria, a senior majoring in natural sciences at Cambridge University

As the grand finale speaker, Aria shared her journey from studying abroad at the University of Ked to fully embracing campus life. She comprehensively covered her study methods, school selection strategies, research competitions, and extracurricular activities, showcasing a meticulous and well-planned science major's perspective. Her insights revealed a disciplined academic journey with clear personal planning, offering valuable lessons for students navigating college applications.
Live Easter eggs
After listening to the full share of practical knowledge for an afternoon, there was a fun voting session for the most popular speaker at the end of the event. All the audience were invited to vote for their favorite share guest, and finally, I congratulate Penelope on winning the title of the most popular share guest.
Q&A session
At the end of the whole activity, we also prepared a rare Q&A session. Everyone was very interested in the content of the activity, and they vied to raise their hands to ask questions. The seniors were also not stingy with sharing and answered every question sincerely, and the atmosphere of the scene reached a climax again.

A successful conclusion
The wonderful time is always short, and the whole event came to an end in such a warm and enthusiastic atmosphere, and then came to a successful conclusion!
Lan Sheng Education will continue to forge ahead on the path of helping students achieve their dreams, sowing the seeds of hope for more students. Let us meet again next time with emotion and harvest, wishes and expectations.
