Strathallan School
Strathallan School is one of the Scotland’s best boarding and day school situated in the picturesque, rural Perthshire with a 153-acre campus and is within easy reach of the downtown of Edinburgh with its international airport.
As one of the best schools in academic performance in Scotland, most students of Strathallan School choose to pursue further education at some of the world’s top universities including Oxford and Cambridge. Excellent Academic Performance
Strathallan pupils achieved excellent A Level results with 41% A*/A, 75% all grades A* to B, and 91% all grades A* to C in 2017. For the GCSE results of 2017, 10% of pupils taking Maths, English Language and English Literature achieved the top grade of 9 (equivalent to A*), compared to national results of 3.5% awarded 9 in Math, 2.2% in English Language and 3.2% in English Literature. Yet Strathallan pupils shown strong results with 34% achieving the top grades of 7, 8 and 9 (equivalent to A*/A grades in the old scoring system) in English Language or English Literature and 49% achieving those grades in Mathematics, compared to the national figure of 20%. In 2017, 79% of Strathallen graduates got into universities in the UK. Of those who went directly to universities, 27% got into a Russell Group university including Imperial College London and University of Glasgow while 47% got into a Scottish university.
Strathallan pupils achieved remarkable A Level results again with 20% straight A*/A, 88% all grades A* to C and 99% of all pass in 2018. For the GCSE results of 2018, approximately 1/3 grades were A*/A or 9-7 and more than 50% were A*-B or 9-6.
